Bring On The Fro-yo!

The weather is getting nicer and nice around here, and to me, summertime means ice cream or frozen yogurt, which can get expensive, depending on where you go. I recently visited Yogurt Extreme located on campus right near Blue Heron Bikes.

After filling up my tires for free at the bike shop, I walked upstairs to hear Jackson 5's "Baby Give Me One More Chance" and then was bombarded by bright pink walls and floors and kids playing what looked like Rock Band on a big-screen TV.

The flavor selection was quite impressive, from red velvet to watermelon sorbet. I sampled a few and decided on  a combination of coconut and pineapple flavored froyo (that's what us cool people call it). And then there are toppings, oh the toppings! They have so many toppings you won't know what to choose. They even have mini cupcakes in several different flavors. The few that stood out to me were the several flavors of tapioca pearls, lychee fruit, and caramel corn. I chose to add passion fruit flavored tapioca pearls, pineapple chunks and shredded coconut to mine.

When I finally placed my finished creation on the scale, it weighed out to 5.7 ounces, which ended up costing me $2.14. Not too shabby for a great-tasting sweet treat. I will definitely be back!
